When students walked into the gym the night of the homecoming dance, they may have noticed a few changes from previous years. Thanks to the hard work of Richards’ Student Council, this year’s homecoming featured a new DJ from BOOM, affiliated with the radio station B96. In addition to an improved setting complete with flashing lights and blasting music, BOOM also brought a photo booth, an emcee, and more to this year’s event. “I really enjoyed this year’s homecoming dance,” junior Kylie Kow- aleski said. “The new DJ made the night
ten times better.”

energetically emceed the dance, keeping the crowd involved throughout the night by dancing on the stage with students and passing out t-shirts and bracelets. Stu- dents were also given glow sticks, brightly contrasting the dance’s blackout theme.
Many students were amazed by the new and improved homecoming dance, which attracted over a thousand attendees. “Everyone seemed to have a great time,” Kowaleski said. “I loved the theme and how much spirit we all had.”
